How Much Is a Desert Safari in Abu Dhabi?
With us, the evening desert safari costs USD 10 to USD 41 per person (AED 35 to 150), depending on how you reach the camp, or USD 190 per private car (AED 699) for up to 7 guests. A private morning safari is USD 218 (AED 799) per car, and the overnight safari is USD 109 (AED 400) per person with a 5-guest minimum. Across Abu Dhabi, shared evening safaris are advertised at about AED 149 to 350 per person.

The biggest single cost. A seat in a shared 4×4 is not the same price as a car for your group, and self-drive removes it altogether.
Ours is 45 to 55 minutes from the city at Al Khatim. Camps near Al Fakka sit about 2.5 hours out, which adds fuel, driver time and a later night.
We built and run our own camp, so no middle layer sits between the price you see and the evening you get.

Six Price Questions to Ask Any Safari Company
These are the gaps between an advertised price and the final bill that guests most often write about. Here is how each one works with us.
- Is the price per person or per car?Shared seats, VIP and the overnight per-guest rate are per person. Private evening and morning cars are per car, for up to 7.
- Is the camel ride really inside?Yes, a short ride of about 5 minutes on every evening safari. Only the separate one-hour ride costs extra.
- Which activities are charged at camp?Quad bikes, buggies, the longer dune drive, shisha, falcon photos and a photographer. Each price is in the table above before you book.
- Does paying by card cost more?Yes. The bank adds 8 to 10 percent on a card. Cash in AED, USD, EUR, GBP or another major currency carries no fee.
- What happens if I cancel or the weather turns?Cancel or move free up to 12 hours before pickup. If wind or rain stops the trip, you owe nothing.
- Will my children pay full price?Under 3s ride, eat and watch the shows free. From 3 a child takes a seat and a meal, so the adult price applies.

- Travel with under 3s. Babies and toddlers cost nothing on any package.
- Share a 4-seat buggy. USD 327 (AED 1,200) for four is about USD 82 each, against USD 218 for a 2-seater.
- Pay in cash. It avoids the 8 to 10 percent card fee.
- Skip extras you would only try once. Sandboarding, henna and the short camel ride are already free.

Abu Dhabi Desert Safari Price FAQ
Why is the self-drive desert safari only USD 10?
Because you bring the transport. Driving yourself to our Al Khatim camp removes the biggest cost, so you pay USD 10 (AED 35) per person for the same dune drive, camel ride, sandboarding, BBQ dinner and three shows as every other guest.
How much should I budget for extras on top of the safari price?
Nothing, if you are happy with the included evening. Most guests who add something pick a 30-minute quad bike from USD 27 (AED 100), so USD 41 plus USD 27 makes USD 68 per person with hotel pickup.
How much do children pay?
Children under 3 are free. From age 3 a child pays the same price as an adult, because a seat, a meal and the activities are reserved for them.
Do airport or cruise terminal pickups cost more?
No. Pickup from the Abu Dhabi cruise terminal costs the same as a hotel pickup. From the airport we send a private 4×4 or Land Cruiser only, at the normal private price.
