Best Season
Desert quad biking in Abu Dhabi is most comfortable in the cooler months. In summer, ride early in the morning or after 5 PM, when the heat eases and the sand is easier on you.

The rides start from our camp area at Al Khatim, in the Abu Dhabi desert, with the open-desert rides running on the dunes at Lahbab or at the camp dunes. The map below shows the area. We send the exact pin on WhatsApp once your booking is confirmed.
Coming by your own car: there is no pickup charge, and we send the pin. Want a driver: a private pickup car collects you from anywhere in Abu Dhabi city and brings you back. It is priced per car for the whole group of 2 to 6 guests, at USD 190 (AED 699) for a sedan or 4×4 and USD 272 (AED 999) for a Land Cruiser. Hotel pickup is not part of the ride price.
How Your Quad Ride Runs, Step by Step
A 30 minute booking is about 20 to 30 minutes on the quad. Add the arrival and briefing and you are at the camp around an hour. A quad tour is booked as one to two hours.

There is no age limit on a quad ride. Smaller children can drive a kids quad, and a 5 to 6 year old can manage one with the guide close. Younger riders can also sit in front of a parent on a full-size quad. Kids pay the same quad price. For the Can-Am buggy the driver must be 16 or older.
Helmets and a full briefing are provided, our quads are insured, and a guide rides with you throughout. You do not need a driving licence and there is no waiver to sign. If you have a back, neck or pregnancy concern, message us before you book and we will tell you honestly whether the ride suits you.

Abu Dhabi or Dubai for Quad Biking
Is it better to go quad biking in Dubai or Abu Dhabi? Choose by where you stay. Our Abu Dhabi rides use the open dunes at Al Khatim, about 45 to 55 minutes from the city, with no traffic and plenty of space. Is Abu Dhabi cheaper than Dubai for quad biking? With us the price is the same in both cities: USD 27 (AED 100) for a controlled-area quad and USD 54 (AED 200) in the open desert. Dubai is about 140 km from Abu Dhabi, roughly 90 minutes by road, so if your hotel is in Dubai, our quad biking in Dubai ride is closer.

In our controlled area it is USD 27 (AED 100) for one rider and USD 54 (AED 200) for two riders on one quad. In the open desert it is USD 54 (AED 200) for one rider and USD 82 (AED 300) for two. Prices are per quad, not per person.
How long is a quad bike ride?
A standard ride lasts 20 to 30 minutes. For more time, a one hour open desert ride costs USD 109 (AED 400) for one rider and USD 163 (AED 600) for two riders on one quad.
Is this a quad bike rental or a guided tour?
It is a guided quad bike tour. A guide leads the ride on our own dunes at Al Khatim, so you do not hire a quad and drive off alone. Rides run from 30 minutes up to 1 to 2 hours, and the tour price already includes helmet and briefing.
Is a quad bike the same as an ATV?
Yes. A quad bike is also called an ATV. In Abu Dhabi, quad biking and ATV riding mean the same ride on our dunes at Al Khatim, with a helmet and a guide.
Do I drive the quad myself?
Yes. You drive your own quad, or share one with a second rider, and a guide leads the ride and stays with you. You get a safety briefing first, and no driving licence is needed.
Is quad biking hard for beginners?
No. Most first-time riders feel comfortable within a few minutes of the briefing. Start in the controlled area, where the riding space is marked out and the guide sets an easy pace, then move to the open desert once you feel confident.
Can I add a Can-Am buggy to my quad ride?
Yes. You can add a Can-Am buggy for 30 minutes. A 1 or 2 seater is USD 218 (AED 800) and a 4 seater is USD 327 (AED 1,200), per buggy. A guide rides a quad alongside, and drivers must be 16 or older.
What should I wear for quad biking?
Wear closed shoes and light clothing, and bring sunglasses for the dust. A scarf or cap helps. We provide the helmet.
Can I book quad biking in Abu Dhabi without the evening safari?
Yes. Quad biking is a stand-alone booking. Choose a 30 minute ride, or a 1 to 2 hour tour, and come in your own car or add a private pickup car at a separate charge. You do not need to join the evening desert safari.
Do you offer quad bike desert safari pickup in Abu Dhabi?
Yes, as a paid add-on. Quad biking is booked on its own and the private car is optional: it collects you from anywhere in Abu Dhabi city and brings you back, priced per car for the whole group. A sedan or 4×4 is USD 190 (AED 699) and a Land Cruiser is USD 272 (AED 999). Guests with their own car drive straight to us.
