Cars, Safety and Comfort on a VIP Desert Safari
Genuine comfort begins with a safe, well maintained vehicle and a calm, experienced driver. Here is what we check, and what we recommend for different guests.
Tyres, brakes and fluids are checked before every departure. Every car has a roll cage and a seat belt per guest.
Floor cushions are hard on knees and backs. The VIP sofas have proper backrests, which is why grandparents ask for them.
Mention it early. Your driver keeps the dunes gentle, or a separate car takes you to the camp by road.
Winter nights drop to about 15°C, so pack a jacket. In summer we collect you later and keep drinks chilled.

Al Awir or Lahbab for Your VIP Evening?
Both camps provide identical VIP seating, the same dinner and the same three performances. The genuine differences are the driving time and the colour of the sand. Al Awir sits approximately 50 to 55 minutes east of Downtown. Its golden, gentler dunes particularly suit small children and older guests.
Lahbab is about 1 hour 10 away beside the E44 Dubai to Hatta road. The sand turns deep orange at sunset and the dunes are taller, so we use Land Cruisers only. Friday and Saturday evenings are the busiest, which is exactly when VIP seats earn their price.

- Al Barsha and Al Quoz. Your driver comes about 10 minutes sooner, since the main roads get busy in the afternoon.

Absolutely. An open desert quad costs USD 54 (AED 200) for one rider, or USD 82 (AED 300) with two riders. A helmet and safety briefing are included.
Can I add a dune buggy?
Certainly. A 2-seat Can-Am buggy costs USD 218 (AED 800) for 30 minutes, with a guide alongside. The 4-seat version costs USD 381 (AED 1,400), and drivers must be at least 10.
Is the VIP safari suitable for families with children?
Definitely, families book it more than anyone else. Under 3s travel free, child seats are complimentary, and the sofa area keeps everybody together. Request the gentle drive for younger children.
Can grandparents or pregnant guests come?
Yes, everybody is welcome. Pregnant guests and anyone with back or heart problems should skip the dunes. We take them to the camp by road, and the sofas with backrests help enormously.
Is a VIP desert safari in Dubai good for couples or a birthday?
It works beautifully for both. Two guests pay USD 310 (AED 1,139) altogether, including VIP seating. Mention the occasion, and we’ll do our best with your seating.
Do you use Hummers?
No, we operate Land Cruisers for the dunes, and sedans or 4x4s for the private car option. The Land Cruiser remains the vehicle most guests request, because it handles the dunes comfortably.
Is shisha included in VIP?
No, shisha is an optional extra costing USD 27 (AED 100) per table. Your group can share one in whichever flavour you prefer, delivered to your sofa.
Can I book from Pakistan or India before my trip?
Certainly. Send your travel dates on WhatsApp, and we confirm everything in writing. There’s no deposit and no online payment, because you simply pay on the day.
What happens if we need to cancel the VIP evening?
